BFE @ 9

The album launch of Pinoy Hiphoppaz Volume 2 & the celebration of BFE's 9th year Anniversary was held at Dekada Resto Bar along Tomas Morato near the corner of Kamuning Road in Quezon City last October 3, 2010. The second version of the Pinoy Hiphoppaz project brought together a great number of underground artists, & the BFE Party spinkled with some major folks, was well-received by those in attendance. Madd Pr0p$ to Jug & Gazelle & the BFE Fam on the growth they acheived for this event.

"I thought I told you that we can't be stopped?"

capOnE, the brokest MC [if you dont know, now you know], walked from Sampaloc to Q.C. to graced the show. Lucky Me! His homie Ricom paid his bill. The show started slowly with some aspiring rappers from Marikina doing their thang for the first time onstage. Followed by the Locotes 8th District featuring the energetic voice of Ricom wreaking havoc on the refrain. When top dawgs from Zambo spitfired their Chabacano flow, the crowd was caught in awe...

After some noteworthy performances by BFE's affiliate crews & ghetto celebs, the no-nonsense MC extraordinaire JR Prisno & co-MUSIKA (producer/songwriter/performer) J-Rod a.k.a. JACOB arrived just in time to showcased the new version of "Amo ng Politico"... For the second time around this year, the most underrated artist hyped by the most slept-on broke-ass MC rocked the classic cut with J-Rod singing the hook. Re-arranged & produced by J-Rod, "Amo ng Politico" will soon hit & reach new heights.

"Don't front! I know we got you open..."

Most of the artists present that included in the compilation CD set the roof on fire. PIKASO & his protege JAZZE graced the show with some of their new ill vibes. The heat is on when the freestyle rap battle started. Big-ups to Malik [ DJ Med's son] for breaking the riot. The crowd went wild as Malik  flexed his B-boy skills & shortly the B-boy showdown brought the house down. The lone beatboxer Abdul added some flavor to the successful event.

Indeed,
the Pinoy Hiphoppaz Volume 2 album launch & BFE's 9th year anniversary is off-the-heazy!
No doubt!
The sequel will be coming sooner than later.

PEACE! ONE LOVE!

PinOy Hiph0ppaz vOL. 2

Pilipinas Hip-Hop's dynamic duo of Jug Honeyluv & Gazelle together with their brainchild Butta Flava Entertainment & PHH Organization are back with the 2nd volume of the Pinoy Hiphoppaz project & this time their demanding that you turn the radio off & feed your CD player something HOT off-the-grill. With a perfect blend of street anthems, urban rhetorics savor with Ilocanja Flip-Hop & a lil' bit of  R&B this edition of PHH appeals to not just the typical rap en masse but to the purists, the haters, the posers, the biters, the conscious heads & the music connoisseur also.

Pinoy Hiphoppaz Vol.2  jumpstart with the posse cut "PHH Events Anthem". Akasha Records' protege & MUSIKA's resident MC extraordinaire JR Prisno set the tone of the album with his spoken word introduction of the true definition of Pinoy Hip-Hop. Underground superheroes Scan Kalibre & Simon (half of the MABANGES click of Pinoy Rap) collaborated with their Canada based homeboys on the bouncy & trippy "Hip-Hoppan Na 'To!". Pinoy pride playfully showcased on the hot jam "Pinoy" by the undefeated Tambayan all-stars. [FYI] I documented the making of "Pinoy" on my "china f0n" but unfortunately my SD card was formatted due to trojan virus.

The Tambayan 2010 remix of the underground classic "AGGARAW" featuring the Ilocanoe greats RICOM [Isabela], JR Prisno [Nueva Ecija], capOnE [Ilocos Region] on the same track with the sensational soothing voice of  Lil' Humble [Laguna] doesn't clash at all, but actually makes "dz nut" simply irresistible. The production of Melody is crisp & sure to have you head bobbing. "SA'YO", an ode to the enchanted beauty of Laguna by her adopted son Lil' Humble a.k.a. Francis Erick Hernandez (of Talentadong Pinoy fame) is a heartfelt & inspiring song.

When you name your crew "Berdugo ng Kanluran" you're putting yourself in a position to fill some pretty big shoes but Tondo heavyweights BNK of Midwest Records seem to be wearing them pretty well nowadays. Kudos to David Marcos for spitting Pinoy lingo on his opus "Ang Nasasakdal" eventhough he represents the Bay area.

Nonetheless, Pinoy Hip-Hoppaz Volume 2 delivers jaw-dropping collection of cunning & intricate rhymes. It's packed with 16 phat joints of P.I.'s legendary underdogs & some of its most promising newcomers. And the magic touch of Tambayan's head honcho $yper One a.k.a. Brighante & tha album mastering of Paul "PIKASO" Sirate made the quality of the CD superb & tighter than a virgin!

For Hip-Hop aficionados looking for artistic breadth, it hits hard in every dimension. A must-have!

"AGGARAW!"
